Fun in the Sun
Now that the weather is getting warmer and the grass is growing again, Dad looks forward to yardwork - his way to chill after hours in the office. Here he is with his brand new toy. We went down to the street market area where these kinds of tools are sold and made the weedwhacker purchase from the nicest man who took the time to patiently explain and demonstrate how to use it, filled the fuel tank, threw in a few extra things and was even happy for us to send the missionaries to visit him!

you should be able to get that yard trimmed in like 30 seconds! I need one of those straps- I can never get ours to start because I can't hold it up the right way and do the buttons at the same time. Then again, better to just let Scott do it :)
Every time I pass someone with a leaf blower I think of Dad! Maybe in 6 months you can get one of those too! Nicole, what happened to your blog? I haven't seen a new post since your birthday.
Ahhh...I really miss the sight of Alan/Dad out pulling weeds or trimming or whatever, usually at our house. I guess we've given him many hours of joy in our various yards! One of the best experiences our little family has ever had was doing a little whacking, blowing, trimming, etc. at our neighbors house on Mother's Day weekend. It was meant to be a kind deed, but we probably made a mess of it! jen
Sounds like Uncle needs to make a trip to Cheyenne and work on my yard next!! Our rebate money is going to the yard...we could use a little help!
I'm impressed he knows how to use such devises. Granted he is Perriton blood but he did spend many LOOOONG hours in an office for many years!
