This weekend we are having a District Conference down in the southern end of our mission, which is on the boundary of the Pusan Mission. Yesterday we finished our third zone conference of the week which is nearby. So we spent the night in Pusan where we have planned to meet our area president, Elder Evans, to take him over the border to our conference. We were delighted to meet Elder and Sister Oaks, Elder and Sister Choi, our area 70, and Elder and Sister Evans for breakfast before heading off this morning to Suncheon for our district conference. These authorities were in Pusan for a Stake Conference in the Pusan Mission. It is kind of a fun adventure to be out of our mission boundaries!
I haven't been to Pusan since 1977, when Nicole was a year old and we came on a family vacation to the beach here. At that time it was a very small town. I am quite amazed at what a beautiful, very large city it now is. I remember that 1977 visit well because we were out swimming in the ocean and there were these lovely jellyfish all around. Alan encouraged Nicole, aged 1, to touch one, and for the next 24 hours or so she was one poor miserable baby! Memories like that just stick!

Well I am glad you have such fond memories of that place!haha. Hope you stayed away from the jellyfish this time around :) I just told Ethen the story and he looked at me all puzzled and said, "why would papa ever tell you to touch a jellyfish?" I would like to know the answer to that one too.
