Getting Started

I've just discovered the world of blogging and am so excited to join this great web of sharing information.
Alan and I have been presiding over the Korea Daejeon Mission for six months already. We have 100 missionaries to watch over, love and serve with, and are enjoying the adventure so much.
Short family history----
This is the third time for us to live in Korea. We first came on assignment with General Motors in 1974 when Nathan was just a year old. Nicole was born in Seoul in 1976. We moved back to the US at the end of 1979 and a month later Alana was born in Michigan. After 17 years in Michigan, California, and Tennessee we again moved to Seoul from 1996-99. Alana was a junior in high school, John (1983) was in 7th grade and James(1987) was in 4th grade.
1999-2005 was spent living in Tokyo after which Alan retired from 34 years with GM Corp. July 2007 found us back in Korea again for our current three year assignment in the mission field.
So, Korea has been a big part of our life! In fact, nearly half of our married life has been spent in Asia! Alan served a mission here from 1965-68 (even opening the Daejeon area in 1967 to missionary work) and life has intertwined here ever since.

Aloha President & Sister Perriton! It's so wonderful to see your pictures of your beautiful family and to learn of all the excitements in your lives. Mike retired from the USAF in Dec 06 and we moved to his hometown in Upstate New York. Kale still lives in Hawaii where he attended UH. Cody & Kiana are doing well. I look forward to seeing more of you and your family. Take care. KK Adams
